PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

INSTALLATION

In order to use the interface with your PC, it has to be installed. Only then the computer can identify the interface automatically when plugged into the USB port. Please read the installation procedure.

The installation requires the following files, which should be copied to a temporary directory or to a floppy disk:

DRIVER FUNCTIONS

All interface functions are accessible though the library (DLL). The list of functions of the DASHARD.DLL can be printed or loaded as PDF file (approx. 22kB) if required.

FUNCTION CHECK

To test proper functioning of the interface, the SLMINI program can be used. The SLMINI program checks the presence of the USBDMX interface and allows output on any of the 512 DMX channels. Additionally, you may check or set the internal 8fold parallel port of the USBDMX1 interface.
